Fortescue already had a design system. It just wasn’t easy to use.

Over time, contributions and changing requirements had introduced friction. Developers depended on the system, but the structure and naming weren’t supporting real implementation.

I stepped in to stabilise it.

Working in an agile setup, I maintained and evolved the system as new components were requested, preparing them for backlog refinement and implementation. In parallel, I reorganised the Figma file, improved naming conventions, and structured components in a way that matched developer workflows.
